Tasting note: A poised, classically Saint-Julien nose of ripe black fruits—cassis and black plum—lifted by graphite, cedar and subtle tobacco. On the palate it is concentrated yet refined: layers of dark fruit and baking spice supported by polished, fine-grained tannins, bright acidity and a distinct gravelly mineral streak that leads to a long, focused finish.

Producer notes: Château Beychevelle has long expressed the elegance and finesse of Saint-Julien. The estate emphasises rigorous selection from its best plots; wines are built to age and typically begin to reveal their full character after a decade, with potential to evolve over many decades.

Winemaking notes: Harvested in September, the 2022 vintage was vinified with careful parcel selection and matured for 18 months in French oak. The oak treatment is measured to preserve clarity and terroir expression while adding subtle spice and structure.

Vineyard notes: Planted on hilltop sites of deep Garonne gravel, the vineyards benefit from excellent drainage and maritime influence, giving wines their mineral precision and layered structure. Low yields and meticulous viticulture underpin the wine's concentration and aging potential.
