Tasting Note: A bright, fruit-forward Marlborough red with vivid dark cherry, red plum and raspberry notes, layered with strawberry compote and a hint of truffly earth. Fine, chalky tannins and lively acidity give structure while subtle oak adds a soft spice, carrying the wine to a long, polished finish. Producer & Vineyard: Crafted by Haha Wine from fruit sourced in the Wairau and Awatere valleys, the 2024 vintage benefitted from lower yields and excellent ripeness, concentrating flavour and texture. Winemaking: Gentle handling and cool fermentations preserve fresh primary fruit; the wine sees careful oak integration and brief maturation to add complexity without overwhelming the fruit. Serve slightly chilled or decanted for 30–45 minutes to open aromas. Drink now through 2027 for generous early appeal. Food Pairing: Works beautifully with meaty oily fish, duck ham, roasted mushrooms, pork dishes and lighter game — a versatile bottle for both Asian and European flavours.
