Winery & Vineyard Notes: From Chateau Lynch-Bages on Garonne gravel soils in Pauillac, hand-harvested and managed by the Cazes family. The terroir gives the wine its graphite and mineral backbone while yielding dense, ripe fruit in the warm 2003 vintage.

Winemaking Notes: Traditional techniques with gravity-fed, thermoregulated steel vats and careful sorting. Matured 15 months in French oak (70% new), cork closure — the result is concentrated, layered and classically Pauillac.

Sommelier's Private Note: Open an hour before serving. The nose offers cassis and blackberry, underpinned by cedar, tobacco and a graphite streak. On the palate it’s broad and concentrated — firm but polished tannins, bright acidity and a mocha-laced finish that lingers.
