The 2023 Blank Canvas Wines 'Reed' Chardonnay from Marlborough, New Zealand, is a beautifully crafted wine that showcases elegance and aromatic complexity. Blank Canvas Wines is owned by Matt Thomson and Sophie Parker-Thomson. The Reed Vineyard, home to dedicated growers Pete and Anne Reed, is situated at the mouth of the Waihopai Valley and above the braided Wairau River. The vineyard was first planted in 2001, and the Chardonnay parcel is top-grafted onto mature Gewurztraminer vines, providing deep-rooted complexity.
