Crafted by Domaine Fabien Coche, an estate with deep familial roots in Meursault, this 2023 Monthelie Premier Cru 'Les Barbieres' expresses the pure elegance of Côte de Beaune. Perched on steep, limestone-rich slopes situated between Volnay and Meursault, the vineyard benefits from ideal drainage and sun exposure. The winemaking strictly follows organic principles, relying on indigenous yeast fermentations and patient aging in French oak barrels with minimal new oak. The wine opens with vibrant aromas of fresh red berries and subtle wild herbs. On the palate, fine-grained, silky tannins support a bright, mineral-driven core, leading to a vibrant and remarkably long finish.
