2016 Taittinger Brut Millesime

A poised vintage Champagne that pairs silk and salinity — elegant now, with age-worthy depth.

【Why choose it?】
1) Vintage selection -> Only made in outstanding years and matured for years in cellars, giving concentrated complexity you can feel from the first sip.
2) First-press quality -> Produced exclusively from the first press to deliver purity and a supple, creamy texture without oak influence.
3) Grand cru backbone -> High proportion of top-class village fruit ensures structure and long finish, yet stays approachable on release.

【Sommelier’s Private Notes】
Opening with crisp citrus and a whisper of stone fruit, this cuvée quickly reveals toasty brioche and delicate ginger spice. The mousse is fine and persistent; a saline minerality and oyster-shell tension keep the palate lively while a creamy, unctuous mid-palate carries through to a long, silky finish. Dosage is restrained, balancing richness and freshness.

【Winemaking & Vineyard】
Taittinger only declares a millésime in exceptional years. This vintage spent extended time ageing in the cellars (around five years), is made from first-press wines and matured unoaked — the result is purity, texture and aging potential. A large share of fruit comes from Grands Crus and classified Premiers Crus, and total production was limited compared with everyday releases.

【Occasion / Pairing Guide】
Serve chilled and bring to table for refined seafood feasts, celebratory toasts, or an elevated Cantonese-style lobster dinner — the acidity and minerality cut through richness while the brioche notes nod to any buttery sauce.

【Competitive Edge】
Compared with big-brand non-vintage offerings, this millésime gives clear vintage character and cellar-aged complexity for a price that represents strong value: age-worthy Champagne without boutique rarity pricing.
