Producer Notes: Château La Fleur-Pétrus sits on the Pomerol plateau where gravel meets deep clay. The estate’s parcels, with subtle elevation differences, combine to give both elegance and plush density. Hand-harvested and carefully sorted, the cuvée is one of the estate’s signature statements.

Winemaking & Ageing: Manual harvest, double sorting, thermo-regulated concrete and stainless-steel vats; gentle maceration and controlled extraction. Matured for 18 months in oak to add spice and structure without overpowering the fruit.

Vineyard Notes: Gravel and iron-rich subsoil over deep clay on the plateau (33–38m elevation) — parcels on gravel delivering finesse, clay parcels adding velvety density.

Sommelier’s Note: On the palate expect layered black cherry, cassis and ripe plum folded with violet lift and a mineral, almost saline finish. Tannins are fine and powdery—silky rather than aggressive—giving this wine a luxurious mid-palate and a long, polished close. Serve after 60–90 minutes decanting if drinking now; will reward cellaring through the 2030s.
