Tasting Note: The 2020 La Dame opens with concentrated blackcurrant and black cherry, threaded with cedar, tobacco leaf and a graphite edge. The palate is medium–full with firm yet polished tannins, saline minerality and a long savoury finish. Oak is supportive—American and French barrels add spice without dominating.

Winemaking & Vineyard: Produced as the second label from a historic Saint-Estephe estate, parcels on gravelly, clay-limestone slopes yield grapes with ripe phenolics and cool-climate lift. Fermentation was controlled to preserve freshness; élevage in mixed oak for 12–18 months refines tannins and adds complexity.

Sommelier’s Note: Decant for an hour to round the tannins and let the tertiary notes unfurl. Serve at 16–18°C. Pairs superbly with roast lamb, char siu-style roasted meats and mature cheeses.
