Crafted by one of Vosne-Romanée's most celebrated vigneronnes, this Grand Cru originates from Le Grand Maupertui, a privileged 0.93-hectare parcel situated in the upper, most revered section of the wall, directly beneath Grands Échezeaux. Sourced from century-old vines planted in 1904, the deep clay-limestone terroir yields extraordinary concentration and refined minerality. In the cellar, the philosophy prioritizes purity and precision over brute force, employing around 40% new French oak to elevate the pristine fruit without overshadowing it. In the glass, it unfurls with vibrant dark cherry, wild blackberry, and crushed mulberry, lifted by lavender florals, delicate spice, and subtle embers. The palate reveals magnificent textural finesse: velvety, fine-grained tannins frame a core of fresh, luminous acidity, concluding with a long, harmonious, sapid finish built for decades of cellaring.
