Tasting note: Rich and opulent, this Reserve displays mashed autumn orchard fruit framed by a creamy, buttery texture and sweetly spiced top notes. Expect warm vanilla, toasted hazelnut and ripe white-fig accents balanced by a seam of chalky minerality and a layered, elegant finish. Producer notes: From DAOU's Reserve program, this bottling reflects fruit selection from higher-elevation sites on the estate, chosen for concentration and balance. Winemaking notes: Crafted to emphasize texture and complexity, the wine undergoes careful barrel fermentation and aging with a proportion of new French oak, plus lees contact and partial malolactic conversion to build creaminess and roundness. Vineyard notes: Grapes come from well-drained, elevated blocks with cooling nighttime breezes and mineral soils that lend tension and freshness, while controlled yields concentrate flavor.
