Oban 14 Year Old is a full-bodied coastal Highland malt with a distinctive balance of citrus brightness and maritime smoke. On the nose expect fresh orange peel, lemon, pear and soft honeyed toffee undercut by a hint of sea salt and gentle peat. The palate opens with dried fig, warm spice and a smoked malt dryness that evolves into oaky, sweet notes; the texture is broad and rounded. Matured in oak casks for 14 years, this expression benefits from extended fermentation and careful pot-still distillation — the producer ferments for five full days to build depth before spirit is matured in oak, yielding a long, smooth finish with a delicate grain of salt. A small distillery at the water's edge lends a maritime signature that pairs beautifully with richer seafood, aged cheese or a square of dark chocolate.

Oban is a compact seaside distillery in the Western Highlands known for its bridge-like style between the robust Highland malts and the maritime character of island whiskies.
