On the palate it is elegant rather than heavy — silky tannins, vibrant acidity and a mid-to-long finish that reveals a touch of spice and chalky minerality. Producer notes: Domaine Jacques Cacheux crafts refined village wines that aim for balance and transparency of place. Les Chalandins from 2021 reflects the house focus on precise viticulture and gentle cellar handling to preserve freshness and terroir expression. Winemaking: Grapes are carefully sorted and handled with gentle extraction to retain perfume and finesse. Fermentation is traditional and the wine sees élevage in French oak barrels with measured use of new wood to add structure without masking primary fruit.
