A refined, terroir-driven red from Brauneberg’s steep slate slopes, this wine opens with lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry and rose petal, followed by subtle notes of forest floor and wet stone. On the palate it shows bright, energetic acidity, medium body and silky, fine-grained tannins that frame juicy red-fruit flavours. The minerally, lingering finish is classic Mosel slate — elegant, perfumed and tension-filled. Producer notes: crafted by Weingut Markus Molitor, a family-run estate renowned for meticulous vineyard work on steep, south-facing terraces. Grapes are hand-harvested and handled with restraint to preserve freshness. Winemaking: gentle extraction, cool fermentations and careful ageing to maintain primary fruit and minerality; minimal intervention in cellar to express site. Vineyard: exposed, steep plots on blue and grey slate, cool continental climate with diurnal shifts that help retain acidity and aromatics. Best enjoyed after a short decant to coax out aromatics and soften edges; excellent aging potential.
