Tasting note

品飲筆記:酒色深濃,帶紫羅蘭光暈,第一時間撲來的是焦炭、燒土和黑色漿果的氣息,隨後有甘草、雪茄匣與可可、雪松的香料感。口感豐滿,中段奶油般豐潤,單寧結構緊緻但圓潤,質地像絲綢般包裹味蕾,尾韻悠長而帶煙燻與礦物餘味。 酒莊與產區:來自Pessac-Léognan經典地塊,葡園橫跨Talence與Pessac,坐落在與Haut-Brion相對的礫石台地,排水良好、日夜溫差佳,土壤賦予酒款獨特的礦質與烘烤感。生產量不大,追求精選與風土表現。 釀造工藝:遇乾春、適度雨量的年份,收成在理想期進行。發酵過程以溫度精控、適度浸皮萃取色澤與單寧,精選酒液置於橡木桶陳年18–20個月,木香與烘焙感與果實、地氣層次共舞。 口感建議:建議醒瓶一小時左右,能讓果香與香料慢慢打開,單寧更顯絲滑,搭配烤牛排或濃郁硬質起司最對味。

Tasting note: Deep, dense ruby-purple in the glass, this La Mission-Haut-Brion opens with an intense bouquet of charred embers, scorched earth, blackcurrant and blueberry, layered with liquorice, cigar-box, cedar and dark chocolate spice. On the palate it’s broad and generous—creamy in the mid-palate yet built on a firm, polished tannic spine that carries ripe dark fruit and savory smoke to a very long, persistent finish. Producer notes: From one of Pessac-Léognan’s most revered plots, production was small and carefully selected. The estate highlights the wine’s complexity, empyreumatic signature and silk-like tannins while preserving freshness and length. Winemaking notes: Harvested in optimal conditions after a dry spring and balanced summer rains, fermentation is tightly controlled with temperature-managed macerations to extract colour and structure. The finest lots are aged in oak barrels for 18–20 months, contributing spice, toast and layered oak integration without masking terroir character. Vineyard notes: The vineyard spans Talence and Pessac on the gravelly terraces opposite Haut-Brion, benefiting from superb drainage and warm, reflective soils. The site’s terroir imparts minerality and a distinctive roasted, smoky signature that threads through the aromatic profile. Drink window: Approaching maturity now but will continue to evolve; ideal drinking 2018–2038. Best decanted for 60–90 minutes to reveal its layered aromatics and soften the tannins.
