A classical Saint-Emilion Grand Cru expression: the 2018 Clos la Madeleine opens with concentrated black cherry and plum aromas layered with dark chocolate, toasted hazelnut and a discreet tobacco note. Mineral threads and a touch of licorice add complexity. On the palate it is medium‑full, silky and vibrant — juicy acidity lifts the fruit while supportive, well-integrated tannins provide structure. The finish is long and chocolaty, with a refined mineral aftertaste. Produced under the Jean‑Pierre Moueix stewardship, the wine reflects careful vineyard selection, gentle extraction and thoughtful élevage in French oak to preserve fruit purity and deliver an elegant, ageworthy bottle.
