Tasting Note: Warm, inviting nose of dried figs, candied orange peel and toasted almonds with vanilla and cocoa rising from a layered oak base. On the palate the 18-year maturation and Palo Cortado sherry cask finish deliver concentrated toffee, dark chocolate, brown sugar and subtle tobacco spice, framed by a velvety, full-bodied mouthfeel and a long, gently drying finish.
Producer Notes: From Royal Brackla Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, this age-statement single malt is crafted with traditional floor-malting heritage and a focus on elegant, matured character. Released after long oak ageing, the Palo Cortado sherry cask finish adds a refined nutty and oxidative complexity.
Distilling & Maturation: Matured for 18 years primarily in ex-bourbon and seasoned oak, then finished in Palo Cortado sherry casks to impart concentrated dried fruit, nut and spice notes. The moderate 46% ABV preserves aromatic detail while allowing a rich, textured palate.
Site & Character: Hailing from the Highlands, the distillery benefits from cool ageing warehouses and soft local water. The result is a dignified, layered single malt that balances sweet sherry influence with oak spice—ideal for contemplative sipping or pairing with rich desserts and aged cheeses.

The distillery emphasizes traditional distillation methods, careful cask selection and slow warehouse maturation. For this release, the whisky spent the bulk of its life in seasoned oak before receiving a Palo Cortado sherry cask finish, adding oxidative, nutty and dried-fruit complexity.
