2023 Thomas Boccon Meursault

A classic Meursault expression from a small, terroir-focused producer. On the nose: ripe stone fruits—peach and white nectarine—woven with citrus zest, toasted almond and a gentle honeyed note. The palate is generous and silky, showing creamy mid-palate weight, integrated oak spice and a saline-mineral thread that lifts the finish. Producer and winemaking notes: Thomas Boccon works with parcels in Meursault that sit on clay-limestone soils; grapes are hand-harvested, whole-cluster pressed and fermented in barrels with a selection of new and neutral oak. The 2023 vintage brings riper fruit and a plush texture while retaining balancing acidity. Vineyard notes: south/south-east exposures, mid-slope sites, vine age varying across parcels, attentive canopy work to preserve freshness. Serve gently chilled; open for about 30 minutes to let the aromas broaden. Pair with shellfish, grilled fish, roasted white meats or nutty cheeses.

Thomas Boccon is a small, attentive producer working parcels in Meursault. The domaine focuses on terroir expression through careful vineyard work, hand-harvesting and a mix of traditional and restrained modern cellar techniques—barrel fermentation, controlled malo when appropriate, and thoughtful oak selection to complement rather than dominate.
