Highland Park 13 Years Single Cask 2003 Archives

Soul Hook: A coastal Highland Park single-cask that balances Orkney sea-breeze with honeyed warmth. Why choose it? 1) Single cask, limited release — collectible depth and uniqueness; 2) Signature Highland Park character — heather honey and a composed peat that won’t overpower; 3) Matured precision — layered spice and toasted oak for a rewarding glass. Sommelier’s Notes: On the nose expect heather honey, dried citrus peel and a hint of saline peat. The palate opens with rounded malt sweetness, slow-building spice and a vanilla-toffee oak backbone, finishing with lingering smoky-salty echoes and chocolate undertones. Occasions & Pairings: Perfect for rooftop evenings, after-dinner contemplations or gifting to a friend who loves maritime malts — pairs superbly with smoked salmon, roasted pork and dark chocolate. Winemaking/Distilling Notes: Small-batch distillation from a Highland Park spirit, fermented and spirit-cuted in copper pot stills, then matured in selected casks to highlight the distillery’s honey-smoke signature. Competitive Edge: Offers single-cask rarity and signature Orkney character at a price far more accessible than many museum-label releases — an elegant entry into collectible Highland Park bottlings.
