The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow

Tasting note: Amber Meadow opens with a warm bouquet of honeyed caramel, orange zest and dried orchard fruit, followed by vanilla oak, toasted nuts and a touch of warm baking spice. The palate is rounded and medium‑full, showcasing layered sweetness, gentle oak spice and a smooth, lingering finish.
Producer notes: From The Macallan’s Harmony Collection, Amber Meadow reflects the distillery’s mastery of cask selection and blending to create balanced, approachable single malts. Crafted and released by The Macallan under the Edrington Group, this expression aims for harmony between sweetness and oak-driven complexity.
Winemaking/Distillation notes: Distilled in copper pot stills, the spirit has been matured in a selection of seasoned oak casks chosen for their ability to impart vanilla, toasted oak and dried fruit character. The maturation emphasizes integration of wood and spirit, producing a soft but structured mouthfeel.
Vineyard/Field notes: While not a wine, the raw barley and water sourcing are carefully managed — malted barley delivers cereal sweetness and body, while the local water and production environment contribute to the distillery’s consistent house character.
Service suggestion: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water; allow 10–15 minutes of breathing in the glass to open aromatics.
