2017 Monopole Clasico Gran Reserva Blanco Seco

Monopole Clasico Gran Reserva Blanco Seco 2017 is an elegant, mature white crafted in the traditional Gran Reserva style. Expect an amber-gold hue and a complex aromatic profile where dried orchard fruit and orange peel meet toasted almond, vanilla and subtle spice from extended oak ageing. The palate is rounded and textural — honeyed and slightly oxidative notes are balanced by a lively though restrained acidity and a soft, warm oak presence. Time in barrel and bottle has smoothed the edges, delivering a layered mouthfeel with a long, nutty finish. Serve lightly chilled and allow a half-hour to open up; this is a contemplative bottle that pairs beautifully with rich seafood, creamy rice dishes and aged cheeses. Ideal for an elegant dinner or as a thoughtful sipping wine after a meal.

Winery

This wine reflects a producer comfortable with traditional Gran Reserva practice: careful vineyard selection, low yields and extended ageing in oak followed by bottle maturation. The house style favors balanced extraction, medium-toasted barrels and a restrained oxidative touch that enhances complexity rather than overpowering freshness. Small production, attentive cellar work and a focus on longevity are the hallmarks behind this bottling.
