2008 Chateau Lynch Bages

A classic Pauillac from a renowned Fifth Growth estate, the 2008 shows concentrated dark-fruit aromas—cranberry and blackcurrant—lifted by dried floral notes, tobacco and cedar. The palate is layered and energetic: bright acidity drives through a dense core of fruit while firm, structured tannins and toasted oak give shape and length. Hand-harvested and sorted, fermentations are handled in thermoregulated, gravity-fed stainless vats before 15 months in French oak (75% new). Vineyard soils of Garonne gravel and the estate’s meticulous viticulture are evident in the wine’s mineral tension and longevity. Drink now with decanting or cellar for further harmonization within its drinking window.
