【Sommelier’s Notes】
On the nose, notes of cassis, macerated blackberry, and dark chocolate marry with forest-floor and a hint of white truffle. The palate is plush and concentrated but retains a bright spine of acidity; fine, ripe tannins give structure while oak spices (vanilla, clove) frame a long, luscious finish. Best opened and decanted for at least an hour to show its full perfume.

Opus One is the joint vision of Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi — a single wine project dedicated to uncompromising quality. The estate comprises four parcels in western Oakville, including holdings within the famed To Kalon; hand-harvesting and a blend of traditional and researched modern techniques guide the viticulture. The wine is matured in French oak (18 months in new barrels), overseen by winemaker Michael Silacci and owned by Constellation together with Baronne Philippine de Rothschild.
