A dense, ruby‑purple wine from Oakville with an immediately expressive nose of nutmeg, plum reduction and pennyroyal mint. On the palate it delivers concentrated blackberry compote, cassis, flint and a hint of lavender, all wrapped in toasty French oak. Aged in French barrels (50% new, 50% one‑year Schrader cooperage), the wine shows ripe, generous fruit, firm structural tannins and a long, lingering finish—powerful now but built for cellar development. Crafted under winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown and sourced from top Oakville estates including To Kalon, it pairs beautifully with richly flavoured red meats and robust, spiced dishes.
