2021 Quintarelli Giuseppe Primofiore
2021 Quintarelli Giuseppe Primofiore
A classic expression from one of Veneto’s most revered names, the 2021 Primofiore arrives as a rich, focused red with measured power and an elegant frame. Aromas open to dark cherry, dried plum and black fruit, then unfurl tobacco, cedar and a savory leather note. The palate is concentrated and immediate — ripe dark fruit supported by bright, uplifting acidity and firm but ripe tannins, finishing long with spice and mineral echoes.
Producer notes: Crafted by Giuseppe Quintarelli under the stewardship of Giampaolo Grigoli, this wine follows the estate’s traditional, patient approach: careful vineyard selection, low yields and long élevage to build depth and harmony. The 14% ABV and cork closure reflect a wine built for food and cellaring.
Winemaking & vineyard: Fruit is sourced from Veneto sites selected for maturity and balance. Fermentation and extended maceration yield extraction without harshness; the wine is then aged in wood with attentive maturation before bottling. Expect a structured, savory style that rewards short-term cellaring (Drinking Window c.2025–2030) and benefits from decanting.
