A focused single-vineyard expression from Eden Valley, this 2017 shows dense dark-fruit aromas of black cherry and plum with a bright seam of peppery spice and savoury leather. The palate is rich and concentrated, layered with dark chocolate, baking spice and smoky oak while firm, polished tannins give structure and a long, persistent finish. Crafted to balance power with poise, it rewards a short decant to open up its aromatics and reveal finer texture. Ideal for hearty red-meat dishes and mature cheeses.
