Tasting note

A classic Côte de Beaune white showing layered, inviting aromatics of ripe orchard fruit, pear and baked apple, with citrus peel, toasted almond and a hint of honeyed spice. The palate is plush and creamy—malolactic influence and barrel maturation lend buttery texture and gentle vanilla/oak spice, while cool-climate minerality and lively acidity keep the wine focused and fresh. Medium-plus in body with a long, satisfying finish, this vintage is versatile at the table and rewards gentle decanting to open up. Producer notes: From a small family domaine in Santenay, fruit is harvested from hillside parcels with limestone-clay soils. Winemaking: whole-bunch pressing, fermentation in French oak (partially new), followed by malolactic conversion and lees ageing with occasional bâtonnage to build texture and complexity.

Domaine Chapelle & Fils is a small family domaine based in Santenay in the Côte de Beaune. Focused on traditional Burgundian methods, the estate works modest parcels on limestone-clay slopes to produce wines that combine ripe fruit, minerality and measured oak influence. Practices emphasize careful vineyard work, hand-harvested fruit and restrained barrel use to preserve site expression.
