2020 Chateau d'Armailhac (375 ml)

The 2020 Baron Philippe de Rothschild Chateau d'Armailhac is a testament to the storied terroir of Pauillac. This vintage unfolds with a deep crimson hue and a bouquet brimming with black fruit and refined roasted coffee-bean notes. Upon aeration, the nose intensifies, revealing succulent Morello cherry and confectionery aromas. The palate is greeted with a rich and structured attack, showcasing perfectly ripe fruit. The mid-palate is generous, fusing blackcurrant and liquorice flavors with abundant, well-constructed tannins. A backbone of unfailing freshness carries through to a long, harmonious finish. This wine, while already expressive, promises further complexity with time.
