【Sommelier’s notes】This 1990 Riserva opens with garnet hues and a bouquet of red cherry, dried rose and warm spice. On the palate it’s incisive — bright acidity keeps energy while lingering tannins frame savory, leathery layers. With a clear mid-palate drive and a long, minerally finish, it drinks with brittle grace rather than heaviness.

【Occasion】Perfect for an intimate Cantonese dinner celebrating a milestone: pair with slow-braised beef brisket, roasted lamb chops or hand-made meat ravioli. Also excellent as the centrepiece for a refined wine-and-cheese evening with aged Parmigiano.

Giacomo Borgogno & Figli is a family-owned Barolo house known for traditionalist winemaking in the heart of Barolo. The estate focuses on long macerations and Slavonian oak élevage to emphasize site character from classic M.G.A. crus such as Cannubi, Liste and Fossati.
