Glendronach 'Parliament' 21 Year Old is a deeply sherried single malt matured in a marriage of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks for a minimum of 21 years and bottled at a robust 48% ABV. Appearance is deep amber with a cherry-wood sheen. The nose offers ripe autumnal fruits — blackberries and red plums — layered with rich Oloroso character, candied orange and toasted oak spices. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated: bitter chocolate sauce, stewed plum pudding, and warm baking spices (cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg) are woven through with toasted oak and soft, smooth tannins. Leather, pipe tobacco and a whisper of sandalwood add savoury complexity. The finish is long and lingering, with licorice and oak tannin echoing the sherry sweetness. Produced by Glendronach Distillery in the Highlands — a house long celebrated for heavy sherry-cask maturation — this expression honours the distillery’s ‘Parliament’ of rooks, a local emblem that watches over the site. Non-chill filtered and crafted for those who enjoy intense, sherry-led single malts.
