A mature offering from a renowned Pauillac estate, this selection (1995/1996/1998 set) shows classic aged-Bordeaux character: concentrated dark fruit softened by years in bottle, with cedar, tobacco and leather notes layered over graphite and earthy mineral. The palate is medium-plus in body, refined tannins that have mellowed but still provide structure, and a long, savory finish with lingering dry spice. Producer notes point to careful barrel ageing and selection from gravelly vineyard sites with good drainage; traditional fermentation and extended maceration have given the wines depth and longevity. Decant for about 90 minutes to reveal tertiary aromas and integrated oak. Ideal with rich, savory dishes that echo its complexity.

The estate is a storied Pauillac property known for its gravelly plots and classical winemaking. Vines are cultivated on well-drained soils with an emphasis on balance and longevity. Grapes are harvested by plot, fermented traditionally, and aged in oak barrels with a proportion of new oak to lend structure while preserving terroir expression.
