A powerful, polished Napa Valley red that opens with aromas of ripe dark fruits and cocoa, moving into layers of toasted oak, vanilla and subtle spice. The palate is full-bodied and creamy, showing concentrated fruit framed by substantial yet smooth tannins and a rounded mid-palate. Oak influence gives a toasty, cedary edge while a lingering finish keeps the wine approachable now and cellar-worthy through the decade. Ideal with rich grilled meats and aged cheeses; decant for about an hour to show best.
