Maturation in a mix of European sherry and American oak casks gives notes of caramel, dark fruit and baking spice; at full strength the whisky is powerful but balanced — add a few drops of water if you prefer it to open more gently. A long, smoky-sweet finish leaves cocoa and sea-salt echoes.
