2024 Blank Canvas Reed Chardonnay

一支把海岸礦感和細緻橡木揉合得很有味道的酒。

【Sommelier's Note】Gently restrained at first, then it unfurls beeswax, dried rosemary and crunchy stone fruit with citrus peel lifting the mid-palate. The oak is supportive — lees and barrel spice give a satin texture while a tight phenolic line and lively acidity keep it focused. Drink now with gentle aeration or cellar to gain complexity through 2032.

The Reed parcel sits at the Waihopai Valley mouth above the braided Wairau River — deep roots, cool nights and a site that delivers aromatic complexity. Fermented with ambient yeast in 500L French oak puncheons (≈40% new), allowed to finish natural malolactic fermentation, then racked out of oak and given months on light lees before bottling without fining or filtration.
