Tasting note: The 2013 Les Grenouilles opens with crisp citrus zest, green apple and delicate white-flower aromatics layered over a signature flinty, wet-stone minerality. On the palate it is precise and energetic — vibrant acidity frames a textured mid-palate of chalky mineral and subtle almond notes, finishing long and saline. Producer notes: From a single Grand Cru parcel in Grenouilles, this bottling reflects a small-scale, terroir-driven approach. The domaine focuses on careful yields and attentive cellar work to showcase the vineyard rather than oak or overt manipulation. Winemaking notes: Fermentation and maturation were managed to preserve freshness and mineral clarity — neutral vessels and aging on fine lees add texture without masking the site expression. Interventions are minimal, aiming for purity, tension and a lingering finish. Vineyard notes: Grenouilles sits on Kimmeridgian limestone and fossil-rich soils that give the wine its stony, saline backbone. Vines are tended with traditional practices and hand-harvested to ensure perfectly ripe, concentrated fruit from this notable Grand Cru slope.
