Château Coufran is a Haut-Médoc estate consisting of a single 76-hectare block north of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne. The vineyard sits on gravel and clay soils with modest elevation (up to 21m). The 2009 vinification used temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, combined hand and mechanical harvest, and 12 months in tight-grain French oak under the supervision of consultant Eric Boissenot.
