With roots stretching back to the 12th century, Château d'Issan holds an illustrious place in Bordeaux history. The 2022 vintage marks a defining milestone—hailed by world-renowned critics as arguably the finest wine ever produced by the estate. Nestled within an iconic stone enclosure at the very core of Margaux, the old vines thrive on high gravel plateaus layered over cool clay subsoils, offering exceptional aromatic brilliance and natural tension. Supervised by master consultant Eric Boissenot, each parcel is vinified gently in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats before 18 months of maturation in fine French oak. In the glass, it delivers an enchanting bouquet of ripe black cherries, wild cassis, crushed violets, and cedar, wrapped in subtle dark chocolate and citrus peel notes. The palate is seamless, combining concentrated fruit energy with crunchy, velvety tannins and an enduring, aristocratic finish.
