On the palate it is full-bodied and dense yet lithe—opulent dark-fruit sweetness balanced by bright freshness, firm but silky tannins and a monumental, lingering finish. Produced after an exceptionally dry, warm season that concentrated sugars and colour, the wine spent 18 months in oak and shows the hallmark empyreumatic signature of the estate.
