The palate shows medium-plus acidity, polished yet present tannins and a refined mid-palate that finishes with lingering savory notes. Producer notes: From the Manoir de la Perriere monopole in Fixin, this Premier Cru is produced in small quantities (about 8,000 bottles in 2021) by the family domaine Joliet et Fils. The site is worked with attention to expression of place and classical Burgundian balance. Winemaking notes: Vinified in a traditional Burgundian manner with careful extraction to preserve finesse, the wine spends 12–16 months maturing in oak barrels to integrate structure and subtle spice without overwhelming the fruit. Bottled under cork, it offers a poised profile suitable for early enjoyment or short cellaring. Vineyard notes: Clos de la Perriere sits on stony, well-drained slopes in Fixin with limestone-influenced soils that lend mineral tension and structure.
