Winery

Almaviva winery, inaugurated in 2000, is a collaboration backed by Baron Philippe de Rothschild. The estate’s architecture — designed by Martín Hurtado — integrates native woods and forms inspired by the Andes. Almaviva reserves prime Puente Alto parcels (about 60 ha) with rocky, alluvial soils that provide drainage and minerality. Vinification uses stainless tanks sized by parcel; maceration, controlled fermentation and spontaneous malolactic are followed by gravity racking into French oak for ageing (12 months).
