Bright, concentrated and unapologetically generous, this Barossa red opens with ripe black cherry, plum and a veil of dark chocolate. Layers of cracked black pepper and warm baking spice show through a plush core of fruit, while gentle oak lends vanilla and toasted nuances from a light maturation. Crafted under Ben Perkins’ stewardship at Two Hands, grapes are sourced from sun-drenched Barossa sites managed for balanced ripeness and flavour concentration. Fermented in small lots with careful extraction to preserve freshness, the wine spent a short time in oak to round tannins without overwhelming the fruit. Medium-high tannins and full body make it ideal for decanting an hour before serving. Pair with grilled and roasted red meats, hearty stews or mature cheeses for the best match.

Two Hands Wines is a Barossa-based producer known for fruit-driven, terroir-focused wines. Under the leadership of owner Michael Twelftree and winemaker Ben Perkins, the team works closely with vineyard manager Travis Coombe to source grapes from warm, low-yield sites across the region. Their approach favors small-batch fermentation, attentive extraction and judicious, light oak maturation to highlight ripe fruit and spice while retaining balance and drinkability.
