Tasting note

This Premier Cru from Clos Saint-Jean offers a poised, full-bodied expression with bright citrus top notes and a more savoury, flinty core. Aromas of grapefruit, citrus rind and baked apple lead into a rich, creamy palate layered with chalky mineral notes and subtle spice. The texture is rounded and generous—likely the result of careful barrel ageing and lees work—while a lively acidity keeps the wine refreshing and balanced. Produced by a family domaine known for thoughtful vineyard stewardship on steep, limestone-rich slopes, the wine shows both immediacy and the structure to cellar in the medium term. Best enjoyed after a short decant to let the layers open; pairs beautifully with poultry, creamy pasta dishes and mature cheeses.

Winery

Domaines Famille Picard is a family-run group of estates with holdings across Burgundy. The domaine focuses on traditional Burgundian viticulture—low yields, selective harvesting and attentive cellar work—to express the hillside terroirs of Côte de Beaune with clarity and finesse.
