A polished white from Domaines Famille Picard's Chassagne-Montrachet 'En Pimont' parcel. The 2022 shows layered aromas of green apple, pear, lemon zest and white florals, followed by toasted almond, vanilla and subtle honeyed notes. On the palate it combines a creamy, slightly rounded mid-palate with bright, refreshing acidity and a clear mineral thread — a balance of oak influence and freshness. Producer notes point to careful parcel selection on mid-slope limestone soils, low yields and attentive cellar work. Winemaking uses barrel fermentation with partial malolactic conversion and extended élevage on fine lees to build texture while preserving clarity. Vineyards are hand-harvested, managed for low vigor and positioned to capture optimal sun and drainage, giving the wine its precise fruit and chalky minerality. Drink now through the medium term; decant briefly to open up aromatics.
