Tasting note

A refined Premier Cru from the Les Demoiselles site, this 2009 shows concentrated, mature aromas of white stone fruit, lemon zest and honeyed notes, layered with toasted almond and gentle spice from careful ageing. The palate is broad and creamy yet lifted by bright acidity and an underlying saline minerality that keeps the wine precise. Oak is present but integrated, contributing to a rounded mid-palate and a long, nuanced finish. Best opened ahead and allowed to breathe to reveal tertiary complexity — decant about 30–60 minutes. Serve slightly chilled with richer fish dishes, roasted poultry or mature cheeses.

Winery

Domaines Famille Picard is a family-operated group of estates working across Burgundy, dedicated to expressing the individual terroirs of their holdings. They produce a range of village and premier cru bottlings, combining traditional cellar techniques with attentive oak management to craft wines that balance richness and minerality. The estate portfolio includes multiple parcels in the Côte de Beaune and they focus on low yields and careful élevage.
