Tasting note: Deep ruby with purple hues, this 2016 shows an elegant, concentrated bouquet of red and dark berries — plums, juicy cherry and blackberry — layered with floral perfume, licorice, espresso and a touch of smoke. Oak adds vanilla and warm spice while a clear mineral thread and fresh acidity lift the palate. The texture is full and polished, with fine, silky tannins and a long, refined finish. Producer notes: From a Premier Grand Cru Classé B estate in Saint-Émilion, the team pursues precise plot-by-plot viticulture and manual sorting to ensure only the best grapes reach the cellar. The estate is noted for meticulous attention in both vineyard and winery. Winemaking notes: Grapes are handled gently with gravity-flow fermentation and rigorous selection. Fermentation and élevage are conducted with care; the wine was aged 18 months in oak, contributing to its spice, vanilla and structural integration.
