Tasting note: Fresh citrus peel and green apple on the nose lead into richer layers of stone fruit, toasted hazelnut and gentle vanilla. The palate is rounded and creamy with a bright mineral backbone and a lick of toasty oak, finishing long and well-focused.
Producer notes: From Domaines Famille Picard, this Premier Cru parcel is managed with attention to low yields and careful canopy work to highlight site expression. The estate blends traditional Burgundian care with modern cellar precision across their holdings.
Winemaking notes: Whole-pressing and a slow, temperature-controlled fermentation, followed by maturation in French oak barrels (including a portion of new oak) on fine lees with periodic bâtonnage. Partial secondary fermentation was allowed to add mid-palate creaminess while preserving freshness.
Vineyard notes: Les Rabources sits on mid-slope soils of limestone and clay in Rully, giving mineral lift and good drainage. Vines are tended parcel by parcel to capture the subtle variations of exposure and soil that define this Premier Cru.
