Tasting note: Pale gold with green highlights. Aromas of ripe orchard fruits and white flowers lead into layers of baked apple, lemon zest and a subtle nutty/almond note, all wrapped in gentle toasted oak and a creamy texture. On the palate it is concentrated yet finely balanced — rounded mid-palate richness gives way to bright, mineral-tinged acidity and a long, saline finish. Producer notes: From Chateau de la Maltroye's prized Dent de Chien Premier Cru parcel, this bottling reflects careful vineyard selection and classic Côte de Beaune expression. The estate aims to preserve clarity of terroir while adding measured use of oak for structure and complexity. Winemaking notes: Hand-harvested fruit was gently pressed, with fermentation and part of the élevage in new and seasoned oak barrels to build texture and aromatic depth. Lees ageing contributes to a creamy mouthfeel while regular bâtonnage was used judiciously to integrate oak and preserve freshness.
