Medium-to-light in body, the palate is supple and silky with light, polished tannins and a light fruity finish. Producer Notes: Château du Tertre sits on 52 hectares of high gravel outcrops in Margaux, producing wines that marry elegance and structure. The estate highlights roundness and suppleness in its Grand Vin while preserving the site’s distinctive spicy perfume. Winemaking Notes: Hand-picked, plot-by-plot selection with optical sorting. Fermented in concrete, wood and stainless-steel tanks with thermoregulation (approx. 25°C) and 18–28 days vatting. Pressing by horizontal pneumatic press. Aged 15–17 months in 100% French oak (45% new) with periodic rackings; fined with egg whites. Vineyard Notes: Elevated gravel soils with excellent drainage and a nearby stream that moderates temperature and moisture stress. The combination of sunshine and cool influences favors balanced phenolic ripeness and refined aromatics. Service & Pairing: Gentle decant (about 45 minutes) to separate any sediment and allow the bouquet to open. Best with grilled or roasted red meats, braised dishes and mature cheeses.

Château du Tertre — a Fifth Growth (5ème Grand Cru Classé) estate occupying 52 hectares of high gravel in Margaux. The property emphasizes meticulous plot-by-plot selection, hand-harvested fruit and a blend of traditional and modern cellar techniques (concrete, wood and stainless-steel fermentation), followed by 15–17 months in French oak (45% new). The terroir—elevated gravel with natural drainage and a cooling stream—contributes to the wine’s poise, aromatic spice and refined texture.
