Tasting note
A classic Margaux expression from a high gravel plateau, this 2022 shows concentrated dark-fruited character framed by refined oak. On the nose: cassis, blackberry, fresh dark cherry and violet with hints of spice, mint and tobacco. The palate is full-bodied and energetic—silky, polished tannins support juicy, ripe fruit and a mineral, savory thread that carries to a long, evocative finish. Producer notes emphasize meticulous plot-by-plot selection across 52 hectares and a blend made to reflect this terroir. Hand-harvested with optical sorting, fermentations take place in concrete, wood and stainless steel with thermoregulation (fermentation around 25°C) and 18–28 days vatting; pressing is horizontal pneumatic. Ageing is 18 months in French oak, adding subtle vanilla and cedar while preserving freshness and aging potential.
