2015 Chateau Lagrange (3000 ml)

[Soul Hook] A poised Saint-Julien with mineral backbone and classically layered dark fruit — built to age but generous enough now with a good decant.

[Why choose it?]
1) Estate pedigree -> Consistent quality from a classified Saint-Julien that delivers structure and depth.
2) Vintage balance -> 2015 offers ripe fruit with firm acid-tannin architecture for both near-term pleasure and cellar potential.
3) Versatile food partner -> Powerful enough for rich meat dishes, elegant enough for special-dinner moments.

[Sommelier's Private Notes]
On the nose: cassis, black plum, cedar and tobacco leaf with subtle graphite and brown spice from measured oak. On the palate: concentrated dark fruit framed by taut acidity and persistent, grainy tannins; mid-palate shows hints of dried herbs and mineral lift. The finish is long, savoury and gently toasted.

[Occasion / Pairing]
Decant 60–90 minutes before drinking. Ideal for a celebratory roast, refined steak night or sharing over slow-braised beef. Works well with stronger cheeses and dishes with umami depth.

[Competitive Edge]
Compared with headline-first-growth prices, this bottle gives classic Médoc structure and ageing potential at a more accessible price — a pragmatic choice for collectors and diners seeking authentic Saint-Julien character.
