Tasting note

品飲筆記：酒色深沉，邊緣帶褐紅光澤。打開杯蓋先是濃郁的黑莓與黑櫻桃香，隨之而來有李子、黑加侖的緊實果味，並混著煙草、橄欖與泥土氣息。口感飽滿但不臃腫，單寧有力而已逐漸圓潤，尾韻帶礦物感與香木，餘韻悠長。 酒莊與田地：波菲由 Cuvelier 家族經營，為名列二級名莊，葡萄園分散在聖朱利安區各個優良地塊，包含一片完整的單一園區，老藤比例與地塊多樣性讓酒款兼具力量與細緻度。 釀造與陳年：到達酒廠後先人工分選再以光學機器二次篩選，進行低溫浸皮並每日翻泵促發酵，之後以法國橡木桶陳釀約十八個月，木質支撐明顯但與果味平衡良好。 品飲建議：建議醒一小時左右，能讓香氣層次更開放；配上紅肉、野味或熟成起司是絕佳組合。這款酒既有結構又帶歲月風味，適合慢慢品味。

Tasting Note: Deep ruby with garnet at the rim, the 2002 Leoville Poyferre opens with concentrated black fruits — blackberry and black cherry — layered with cassis, cedar and graphite. Secondary notes of tobacco, olive and earthy forest floor rise with air. On the palate it shows full body, firm but integrated tannins and a savory, mineral-driven finish that lingers. Producer & Vineyard: A Deuxième Cru Classé managed by the Cuvelier family, the estate works a wide, parcelled vineyard on the Saint-Julien plateau including a notable single block that expresses the appellation’s character. Average vine age is mature, contributing depth and concentration. Winemaking & Ageing: Grapes undergo two-stage sorting (hand then optical), cold pre-fermentation maceration and daily pump-overs during fermentation. The wine is aged in French oak for around 18 months, producing a structured, oaked backbone while allowing tertiary development over time. Serving: Best decanted about 60 minutes to open aromatics and soften edges. Serve with hearty red-meat dishes, game or aged cheeses.
